Wyoming is only 7-5 and it was a down year for the MWC. Might be a winnable opponent for the Bobcats. Extra time to prepare with the 12/30 date.

Given the ratings our bowl games get on traditional TV, I think the upside from Barstool's marketing ability will be interesting to see.

I bet this game gets more eyeballs than any bowl game we've been in to date.

Came to the football sub just to see how this news would be reacted to after the barstool basketball broadcast was brought up on a basketball thread.

This broadcast will definitely get more people watching our bowl game than a traditional broadcast. Just normal barstool fans will tune in with no affiliation to either school, and I would be willing to bet a higher rate of current or recent OU students will tune in to this.

This is no different from Ohio playing on ESPN3. You just know ESPN better than Barstool. Barstool is HUGE with current college kids. Stop yelling at clouds and support the Bobcats.

This. I'd rather be the only game for Barstool than an also-ran on ESPN where they'd talk about the CFP more than our game

It used to be on CBSSN but Barstool would have streamed it last year if it hadn't been cancelled when Boise got covid and CMU wound up in the Sun Bowl. Barstool seems to be a shoddy outfit. They don't have any info on accessing it or the cost.

Well, sorry you’d rather pay $189 per month for the pageantry of ESPNU and CBS Sports Network. Just add the Barstool channel/app to your Roku or Firestick and voila.

You know what, bowls are supposed to be fun. Love it or hate it, Barstool has a ton of buzz surrounding it. I say, give it a chance! Plus, this will be better for recruiting than being buried on one of the ESPNs, because guess what, the kids are going to be more attuned to Barstool, IMO.

AND, after yesterday, the last thing I want to do is go back to Detroit, at least until next December.
