This is a follow-up to the earlier discussion that Thanksgiving Week games aren't worthwhile.  The six MAC teams that hosted games during Thanksgiving Week had a lot more empty seats than usual:

Team             2010 avg. attendance     Game attendance    %difference
Fiami             15519                                 13235                          - 14.7%
Kent               16152                                   8340                          -  48,4%
EMU               15885                                   5147                          -  67.6%
BG                  13306                                   5121                          -  61.5%
Akron             10185                                   5216                           - 48.8%
Toledo           19333                                 12121                          - 37.3%

Remember, the average attendance for the remaining home games would be higher than the season average because the season average was reduced by the poor attendance for the T-Week game.  Makes a good case for the MAC to end the season the week before Thanksgiving, and maybe schedule some Friday night games to make up the slack for TV time.  The extra week might also help sales for the championship game.
