You guys have been some of the most respectful fans I've met! Typically in the South everyone is bashing each other like mad! I really enjoyed chatting with a few of y'all. Very classy bunch of fans! Hope y'all had a great time in NOLA despite the score.

Good luck from the Trojan Nation for the 2011 season! I can't wait we get to beat a SEC team at home! ;)

I'm glad that Ohio fans were that courteous, but not surprised. Ohio fans are a pretty special bunch, which is why I'm here. I dropped in for a visit over 5 years ago, and I'm still here. They are as classy as any fans you'll find anywhere, polar opposites of the Temple fans.

I should also mention the Troy fans were also about as nice as I've experienced. Had a few good conversations with some Trojan fans on Ohio, and our team/conference/bowl history :( etc. Heck, walking down Bourbon Street after the game wearing Ohio gear, and I think the Troy folks (well probably 99%) of them gave me that nod, and sort of an "I feel sorry for you" as our group walked down the street. Troy will be one of those teams I keep a closer eye on in the years upcoming, because of a pleasant experience with their fans...

And that simple statement sums up what college athletics can be - friendly and respectful rivals.  Great comment Ben.  I hope all take the time to read and digest what you posted.

Thank to all the posters who came by GoTroyTrojans.com and bantered about the game.  We enjoyed hosting you.  If you ever want to talk football (and TROY football more specifically) stop on by.  You are always welcome.

Good luck next season.

My wife and I talked to a number of Troy fans to and they were very nice.  Like OUr team, they are in the shadows of some perennial Top Ten teams but they are obviously getting some solid players and their staff put together a great game plan and executed it.

Maybe someday we'll meet again!

To all the Troy fans, congratulations, that was one fine display of football and I wish you folks nothing but success in the future. I second many of the comments regarding the classiness of the Troy fans. My group had ventured over to the Troy side prior to halftime as we knew the 110 and the Troy bands would be playing to that side of the field. Not only did we not get pummeled with trash talk, we were "invited" into the Troy section as a Superdome usher was giving us grief as we were not allowed to stand in the walkway etc., A group of Troy people noticed and motioned us down to some empty seats with them. These folks were courteous, respectful and almost apologetic for Troy's total domination of our beloved Bobcats. Kudo's as well to the Troy band, super show and a tremendous sound produced by your kids. I complimented scores of them as we made our way back to the OHIO side after halftime. Troy won and all the Troy fans I encountered were "winners" as well. Good Luck to the Troy football program in the future.

While I wasn't at the game, I am not surprised with anything stated in this particular string. I have a long-time familiarity with Troy (State) University and frankly was hoping the MAC might figure a way to bring the Trojans aboard when they were ascending to D-IA sans a conference affiliation.

To any Troy fans passing by, I'll add best wishes and congrats for another championship season.
