If we recruit a markedly better qb--or if there's one already on the roster--may I suggest that we actually play him?!
Just a crazy thought.
I haven't seen the Ohio QB's so I have no knowledge how good they are. Basied on the way that the coaching staff handled them, I think that I can make the following guesses:
1. Obviously none of them are as good today as Boo, which is why they weren't playing. That does not mean that they won't be better 4 years from now than Boo is today.
2. Obviously Snyder and Tettleton both have some skills because clearly the coaching staff went to great lengths to protect their redshirts, preserving an extra year of eligibility. When players don't appear to be that good the norm is to play them here and there and just let the eligibility run out in four years.
We'll just have to wait and see how things develop in 2011. I'm cautiously optimistic.
