What a special group. Certainly didn't end the way we would have like to have seen but what a foundation you have started and memories you have provided.

Boo Jackson did a great thing by staying for alma mater then going into the stands to give a thank you speech to the band and students and then went and shook our hands and thanked us all for coming and the support. I am very impressed by his passion and level of respect and wish him the best of luck in all his endevours

Also wanted to say props to the students who made the trip. I realize they got a great deal @ $40 but they showed up to the game with alot of energy and passion.

Ringo, what happened to the birthday party you had scheduled--seems I saw a half green half white guy on the tube that looked a lot like you.

My daughter in the 110 just returned home and was chocked up when telling  us how Boo came over to the band after the game and told them that he loved each of them and what they have meant to him and his experience at Ohio as well as thanking them for their service to their school.  The kid might be an inconsistent passer but always consistent with gratitude and humbleness.  Perhaps his experience at Ohio will serve him well all the years of his life as it has for sooo many of us.

Glad to say I was there to see/hear this.

Also want to call out Jordan Thompson and Donovan Fletcher, two other exemplary gentlemen, and the only other two who met the band to sing the Alma Mater following the game.

The 110 is a fantastic group -- not only musically and during their performances, but they're also some of the biggest fans of our programs.  I made 10 of 13 games this season, and at both Kent, and Miami (the two away games I made where the 110 wasn't playing), 110 members made up a good piece of our supporters.

So I now have a copycat, huh? I may have to find him and set him straight. Ha ha. Nah, that was me alright. I just decided that birthdays and partying with friends always happen but bowl games as a student come only rarely and once that chance is over its over.

But yeah Boo gave a speech to the band and he shook everyones hand in the stands. I might have to buy him a beer should I ever see him uptown for that gesture.
