ESPN/ABC has all but two bowl games this year (Sun and Cotton, I think).  By the end of the day Saturday, we will have been bombarded by lousy announcers, irritating in-studio people and the same damn commercials ad nauseum.  They're able to restrict the output of decent broadcasts, at least from CBS (Fox sucks, anyway).  When they go after the BCS, I hope they drag ESPN into the kettle.

IT is called a free market, others had a chance to bid on the games and didn't want them.

Don't forget ESPN's motto 'College Football Lives Here', they will do whatever they need to, to keep their college football monopoly.

I will take ABC/ESPN over Fox any day of the week. It was tragic what Fox was doing to BCS games.

Same.

More interesting to me from a DOJ standpoint than ESPN televising the vast majority of the games would be the games that ESPN+ operates and they televise.  Of course, in other industries they just call that "vertical integration."
