If MAC teams cant beat teams like FIU, Troy and MTSU our whole conference should just disband and drop football all together.

Toledo scores with 1:14 left and gets the 2-point conversion to take a 32-31 lead

Quoted for the truth.  We are officially in the worst conference in the nation in FBS football.

great job toledo. some of the absolute worst coaching i have seen at the college level in the last 1 min of play.

toledo up 1, squib kick off right to the return man to give FIU great field position and the ball at the 50.

4th and 17 and the defense and LB's are only 10 yards back and dont keep the offensive players in front of them giving up an 18 yard first down.

Have been the last 5 years, IMO. The MAC is no where the league it was from 1998-2004.

There must be a mis-print in our schedule results this year.  It states that we lost to Toledo.

Really?

At least when FATMAN had a 4th and about a yard at about the FIU 30 on their last drive they brought in a 300 lb lineman as a lead blocker.  Defenders danced out of the 300-lb guy's pile-of-momentum path, allowing their qb to get the first down.

Good thing none of us here have ever suggested using a big guy as a lead blocking back in short yardage and that we haven't used that.  Why would we ever want to try that.

I hate to say it, but those were the years that The Terd was beating the crap out of most everybody in the league.  Maybe it made the rest of the MAC elevate its recruiting.  Or maybe the conference just lucked out and got a ton of talent all at once.

Hey, we can rip Toledo all we want but at least they looked like they belonged on the same field as FIU last night.  Ohio wasn't even close to that level against Troy.  Heck, Toledo actually looked like they used some of their extra practices.  Ohio looked like they just showed up and drew some plays up in the dirt.

There's nothing like Bourbon St or the French Quarter in Detroit -- and you know that the UT kept the team away from the casino after the Scooter scandal -- so they had nothing better to do than get ready for the game.

I actually thought Toledo looked better than us in the bowl game.  It was just a closely contested game that FIU pulled out at the end.  Toledo DID look like they belonged in a bowl game, in contrast to us.

+1

That squib at the end killed them but you can't take away the magic of the FIU hook-n-ladder play...i love that stuff!

Here's hoping Fiami pulls the MAC back to 500 this bowl season...
