Miami would be a no brainer there. Warm October day. Peden packed. Chance this season for a few great atmosphere games.

I'm not a big fan of the Miami homecoming game. Alumni are going to come to Peden for the game no matter who the opponent. Sure playing Miami may entice a few more to make the trip back, but I think we can better utilize the Miami game for a different Saturday when there wouldn't normally be as great of a crowd.

I'd like to see us avenge our craptastic performance at Kent last season on Homecoming. Put the home game against the West (Ball St?) for Parents Weekend and play Miami on a normal Saturday. That way we have three great conference crowds instead of two.

Temple factors in here somewhere as well. Seems we've been playing them on a weekday late in the season.

Ball St. just released its schedule. They play at Ohio on October 15th. So there's your Homecoming game.

This football schedule is an abomination. There isn't one game I'm looking forward to watching.

I couldn't hand craft a less interesting and entertaining slate of games.

Tell me that when we're 8-0 on ESPN2 against Temple.

An underwhelming schedule, but nowhere near as bad as the 2008 slap in the face. The Miami game got the shaft...isn't Nov. 22 the last day of fall quarter finals? I'm also not in favor of playing an FCS team unless it's the very first game of the season, but we already knew that was coming. The only home game that looks interesting from a fan's perspective is Marshall since we owe them for kicking our tails in football and basketball recently. Plus it's a regional rival and they should bring a lot of their half-toothed fans with them.

At least our midweek home TV games are on the deuce and not the U. One big problem I have with the MAC scheduling these types of games is that they all occur at the end of the year. MAC football fan interest really wanes as the season progresses if your team isn't winning, so the ESPN networks broadcast a bunch of meaningless games in front of empty stadiums. Can we at least spread the season out a little bit? Maybe play a balance of midweek TV games in October when postseason implications are still possible for some teams?
