Dr. David Ridpath professor of Sports Administration at Ohio esteemed school of Sports Administration, spent 50 minutes on 970 the sports fan discussing HOW OHIO UNIVERSITY DOES NOT NEED AN IPF, stated that all it is for football recuriting and even though it will be built with private dollars the building will still eat up tax payer dollars and is unnecessary to compete. Billed himself as a former coach at Ohio Athletics and knows what is best for our athletes. Sorry, was too up set while driving to take notes, but is this guy serious? He is a leader in Ohio's School of Sports Administration and is lobbying against athletics? However he did talk about our rich history in club sports and hinted towards this as a model for college athletics.

One question! Who is this guy? Is he serious? Was this a tape delay of an April Fools Joke, that I hit on the "best of" show? If not, why does he have a microphone in his hand?

If people donate money to build a practice facility, don't we have to honor that request and build it anyway?

I don't think we have much choice.  Maybe the features of the building, but as far as the purpose, my understanding is that unless we fulfill that request, the money won't be used.

Please change this from Sports Administration lobbies against the IPF to David Ridpath, the professor Sports Ad wishes they could terminate without being slapped with a law suit, lobbies against the IPF!

Seriously, everyone in that program, students especially, tries to distance themselves from that MORON!

And people question me when I say the Faculty at Ohio University HATE athletics.....

Folks, athletics is under siege.  And I use that specific word on purpose.

When a person stands on a public stage wearing a title of an organization, he represents that organization.  Right now, he is the name of that program, he is in the news weekly, and is all over print media with his message and his position as professor of Sports Administration.    Sad but true

My question then is: If this guy is not representative and falsely portrays the majority view, how long will it be before someone with greater gravitas steps up to correct the public's impression?

It's easy enough for an individual here to say this opinion should be disregarded but that is only one more opinion.  Is this the new dawn of the Silent majority?
