Maybe with the potential post season bans and loss of scholarships,  Hopefully this will help big time with in state recruiting.  Also may help increase are fan base.

I don't mean to be Debbie Downer, but I highly doubt we get one recruit who otherwise would have chosen OSU unless we somehow vault into a Top 25 program. Those players will probably choose a Michigan State-type school. In turn, though, we may get a player who otherwise would've gone to one of those schools. If the NCAA says OSU players can transfer without sitting out a year (like they ruled at USC), I could see us getting a player second on the OSU depth chart who wanted playing time before graduation. Kent State, however, may have an inside track with Hazell the new coach there.

Perimiter,
Could not agree more. Hopefully the product continues to be good and it recruits butts in the seats.

Can't expect much for talent, but I'd expect the MAC to be helped out a little.

Could snowball:  have a big year, attract the fans, leading to attraction of recruits...

Now is the time to start that construction on the upper deck of the East side of the stands, we do not want to miss out on this opportunity.  An expansion to 40k is something that should be seriously considered, we need to strike while the iron is hot!

Some of the OSU fans are "nuts" and a down season won't dent their numbers.

I do however think that it will do 2 things for us:

a. Increase our numbers just a tad with fans disenchanted with OSU.

2. Give us a chance to land some players who in the past have been offered by us and then struggled for playing      time at OSU.

It would certainly increase your opportunity to put parking boots on cars, Wayne.

At the Caravan Stop, FS mentioned on the recruiting trail that there are some recruits in the state that simply have no interest in any place not located in a city.

This would mean that Toledo and Akron may have a better shot than Ohio and certainly UC a better shot than any.

On a separate topic; why would any current HS senior or junior desire to attend the Culture of Corruption in Columbus other than for the access to tatoos and envelopes stuffed with cash and car keys?

Look for tosu to pull out all the stops and spend whatever it takes to bring in a very high profile staff that has the correct chemistry to heal some wounds ASAP. This will happen faster than many are predicting. All windows of opportunity will slam shut very quickly. NCAA sanctions are the only unknown factor on just how bad the tosu situation is.

Definitely some good deals on cars. 340 of these make/model/year on AutoTrader. How many of those $11,435 or less? Any guesses?

I can't recall a kid we have/had been seriously recruiting being poached by or even meaningfully involved with Ohio State since Donnie Nickey. Seriously.

that's a great deal!!! Interwebs seems to think 17-21k. If all these deals are 1/2 price or so...that seems like a major scandal.

Oh nevermind. Looks like $11K was the sale price after the trade in. Seems like a fair deal. A good deal, maybe, but a fair one.

Probably just a typo, but that story says Pryor traded in a BLACK Dodge Charger, and the pic in the story below shows him with a WHITE Dodge Charger. Surely to God he didn't have 2 different Dodge Chargers.

The only way Ohio is going to be able to increase the fanbase is by bringing a Big Ten team annually to Peden Stadium. That and with a team that plays .500 against the Big Ten and regularly playing in bowl games could result in a couple of sellouts a year.I may be wrong but I just don't think Ohio could sell out a cold Thanksgiving week game, even with a BCS bowl on the line.
