Dear Vünter Slauche,

I'm hoping you can help me out. All I want is for Ohio U. to finally have a real passing attack - just like the colleges that I see on TV (no, not the ones on weekday nights played in the empty stadiums).

I'm tired of seeing dead ducks, wobbly clunkers and off-target floaters. While it has been nice to have seen Ohio QBs that are great people, lead the conference in FCA meeting attendance and full of energy and leadership, I really just want to see crisp passes that go beyond 20 yards - consistently and accurately.

I know the other good boys and girls in Bobcatland love gimmicky offenses, but I'm hoping you can provide this one gift to me. Besides you have given them plenty of Marshall games through the years.

If you can deliver this one gift I promise to say my prayers, accept the OOC schedule (for a couple of years), and be nice to my kid sister.

Faithfully,
Johnny

Yeah....me too....I think the wobbly clunkers played at Art Park in 71.

We haven't had one very often, but I think Theo Scott gave us a more than legitimate passing attack, and he also threw a pretty spiral *most* of the time. Anyone at the Tennessee or Temple games can vouch for his ability. Obviously, he wasn't a pro prospect, but he certainly made for a solid dual-threat college qb.

DCF, I think Theo's inconsistency keeps him from being considered in the category in which you're placing him.  He had his moments...but then again, he had his moments.
