If everyone is intact in the fall..this could be one of the best in the country top 25 for sure..the secondary has a make-up of a big time program with  Moore,Carrie,Leftwich twins,Denton,Shaw,Hughes. Solid backers lead by all american Keller and quicker defensive lineman I'm excited for big things from this group!

Not so fast, there pardner.  The "look" is good.  I will be happy if Moore and Keller can reestablish themselves in the lineup.  The others are still players.  "Loaded" defenses have playmakers.  I am hoping there are at least threee "playmakers" in the group.

We're all excited about the prospects for the D.  We did lack playmakers last year.  We need pass rush pressure.  If the down linemen bring it, we'll be pretty tough.  Hello Keller & Moore and Co.  There's potential, for sure, but that's a big 'if' at this stage.

Tired players have problems rushing the passer.

If we can get 2 or 3 of the new guys into the d rotation then we should get pressure on the qb.

Could be..hope so, Doc.  But haven't seen a barnburner pass rusher on our line for a while.

I guess I see the wealth of talent but think there are a ton of question marks as well. The defensive line is a mystery. Huynh and Jones played great last year but who else plays and what will Jones do with the extra snaps getting banged on by guards who have him by 50 pounds.
Defensive end is a mystery as well. Other than Meyers nobody has proven that they are starter material I assume we see Scott and Kozak in the rotation.
Can't wait for this season to get going should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Red-Shirt Freshman DT Jamaal Tarrent should get some PT this fall.  Wonder if Coach Solich will Red-Shirt in coming Freshman DT Antwan Crutcher. I think this kid could play as a True Freshman. The Ohio Defense is Deep, but we have to stay healthy, thats gonna be the key for us to have a great Defense this year.
