Ohio University has established a memorial fund for the Williamson family to defray the costs of the funeral service. Checks may be mailed to the Ohio Football Office at:

 

Marcellis Williamson Memorial Fund

and should be also made out to the “Marcellis Williamson Memorial Fund”. It is also possible to donate online by visiting

My donation has been made.  Giving to Marcellis's family is my way of thanking #62 for his dedication and hard work as a Bobcat. I especially thank him for being a man of Christ.  He was a fine Christian influence for our Bobcats.  Heaven rejoices.

Hi Bobcats!

The Ohio Cheerleaders are hosting a car wash this Sunday, May 15th from 3-7pm at Leghorns in Athens (994 E State St by Taco Bell, across from Lowes). We are raising money to donate to the Marcellis Williamson Memorial Fund. There is no minimum fee, all donations accepted and 100% of all proceeds will go directly to the Memorial Fund! Grab some food while you are there because Leghorns will, also, be donating 10% of their profits from 3-7pm to the Memorial Fund! The Ohio University Mascot will be in attendance from 3-5pm! So, come have your picture taken with Rufus, get your car cleaned and eat great food for a wonderful cause!

Please help pass along the word! We would greatly appreciate it... Thanks!

I'm no fan of The Post,but unless I'm reading the article incorrectly,it said that the fund was $7200. before the carwash and that the cheerleaders raised another $800.

Despite cold, rainy weather the cheerleaders raised and donated $800. Leghorns restaurant donated 10% of their profits for the duration of the car wash, which totaled $400. Many thanks to everyone who came out for the car wash and made it possible for us to donate $1200 to the Marcellis Williamson Memorial fund on behalf of the Ohio University Cheerleading team and Leghorns. We were pleased to show our support and respects.
