Ohio football has really demonstrated an impressive level of consistency in the last 20ish years. While we'd all like to have a MAC Championship sometime soon, a 7-6 season and a bowl victory is pretty nice. Thank you Frank Solich.

Looking back through the years I know I forgot about how good Bowling Green used to be from 2012-2015 with two 10 win seasons.

So you're saying that, if Ohio remains one of the top teams in the MAC, they will win 8 or more about half the time, and Albin's 4 year contract will last about 8 years before he runs out of automatic extensions?

LOL I believe those would be your own words not mine. Just looking at the past here, nothing more.

Looking at the above numbers that is pretty good for the Bobcats football program since they are known for being a basketball school.

Do they run out?

*What if he wins 8 games forever... for-ever... for... ev-er...

(Really wish I had that Squintz gif from The Sandlot right now)

7-6 in football is grounds for firing.

Nobody outside of this message board considers Ohio a "basketball school". Basketball schools play in the Big East.

"A Party School With A Football Problem"... that was the motto when I was in school.

At other schools 7-6 will get you fired but not in the MAC.

So if you are firing a football coach for going 7-6, then I'm guessing you would have canned Boals for his 17-15 record in 2019-20 and fired Groce for his 15-17 record in 2008-09? Groce also was 19-16 in 2010-11, which is comparable to a 7-6 record in football. No facility in the MAC is better or larger than the Convo. The same can't be said for the football stadium across the street.
