The broadcast will be both entertaining and very stupid. The kind of humor mainly 18-25 year old frat bros seek out.

I'll be interested to see what sort of specific content they roll out as it relates to Ohio/Wyoming. I saw Caleb Pressley was in Athens a couple weeks ago filming. That'll be a real treat (sarcasm). Good luck trying to understand his style of humor, quite possibly the strangest act I've seen on Barstool. I'm sure they will try to get Josh Allen involved in some way.

They should have Fiami be a permanent participant in this bowl game. Honestly would be a great fit.

Craig Bohl helped Tim Albin in a time of need; nearly 20 years later, they'll meet in the Arizona Bowl

#BarstoolAZBowl is currently trending world wide on Twitter.

Barstool just released a video with a couple football players - CJ, Bostic, Torrie Cox w/ Caleb Pressley - about an hour ago on instagram.

It currently has 390K views.

That was pretty funny and is exactly the sarcastic/silly/snarky stuff that Pressley makes a living off of. This will definitely be one of the more interesting broadcasts we've seen of our Bobcats.

At least six Wyoming players have entered the portal, including the projected starting RB for the bowl game. Apparently they're down to a RS freshman, a true freshman and a walk-on at RB, with a total of zero carries this past season. Two of their top three RBs are injured and the other was kicked off the team. Their top rusher right now is QB Andrew Peasley, 70 carries for 330 yds. https://trib.com/sports/pokes-projected-arizona-bowl-star...
Being in the portal doesn't make them ineligible for the bowl game does it? And, I'm not buying the injured RB stories after the "Finn is hobbled and can't run" stories before the UT game.
According to USA Today's article (Richard Morin) on the game, in today's paper:

1.Wyoming lost 4 players to the transfer portal.

2.That includes their star running back, who was dismissed from
the team for violating team rules.

3.Their 2 back up running backs are injured

4.They're starting a redshirt freshman at RB.

Morin doesn't feel that Wyoming can keep up with O.U.'s offense.

But, are you sure that being in the transfer portal and not yet committed to another school makes you ineligible for the bowl game? I'm not sure we can trust that Moran actually investigated the issue.

I looked two different places on the interwebs and from what I can gather a player is still eligible to play after he enters the transfer portal, but his current school has the right to cancel his scholarship and boot him off the team, but it's not mandatory. Therefore, until Wyoming takes the field, I'm still considering it possible that they are trying to pull an Toledoesque rope-a-dope on us.

The way the article was written, including the fact that one of the 4 in the
portal had been dismissed from the team, it gives the impression that none of the four will be playing.

No idea how badly their other 2 RB's are injured.
All the article says is that they are injured and a redshirt freshman is starting.

Given the point spread, Las Vegas seems to give some credence to impact of the transfer portal and injuries.

I guess you missed the part that the kid was DISMISSED from the team before entering the portal? I'm starting to think you believe in chemtrails, and Hilary eating babies to stay young.

I made a joke about Chemtrails on here about 10 years ago, only to have someone try to convince me of them.

It’s when I started to realize maybe it’s not my kind of people on here.

The only redeeming quality of that interview was that Dad was clearly in on the joke(s). When it started, I was worried that they were going to try to make him look dumb.

Barstool is reporting there were nearly 1 million total viewers for the game (not concurrent, overall). Not bad.

If true, not bad at all. Pretty comparable to lower-tiered bowls on ESPN.

1 million viewers of the game on their website, in addition to the 20+M views of reels on instagram during the game.

Pretty incredible.

Also worth noting:
From almost 30,000 tickets sold, the company raised $1.25 million — all of which will be donated to Arizona businesses affected by the pandemic, with the Barstool Fund matching that amount.

The Arizona Bowl generated 1 BILLION impressions and 1.1 million comments and likes across all of Barstool’s social platforms.

"It provides an encouraging result for a company that is always looking for the next big thing on the internet."

“We are streaming first,” says Overmyer. “Everything that we’ve built, everything that we’ve done, is to deliver content over the internet. We’re proud of that and proud of being a destination for a younger audience that is used to consuming their sports over the internet.”
