Just got a very nice and expensive invitation in the mail today from the college of ed for their 125th anniversary celebration.  It has the Gardner Webb game time in the afternoon with their big gala at 7 that night.  On the season ticket tab of ohiobobcats.com, the game time is listed as 7.  Anyone know the real start time?  I can't imagine they would have the game and the gala at the same time.

I'm guessing the 7 is just a placeholder on that site -- the schedule says TBA, and the last two years, they've announced home start times on June 15 and June 24.  I'd have to imagine your invitation is probably correct, of the two possibilities, but they probably won't announce until all the home games are set.

I'd expect us to release the start times after Ohio State announces theirs.

Need to make sure I am in my seat an hour before kickoff to appropriately scout such a marquee opponent.

Someone please get me the correct time ASAP.

Will do Love.  I've already contacted all the hotels in town to let me know where they're staying so I can get over there and size them up as they get off the bus to head to their rooms.

and be sure to make a lot of noise outside the hotel the night before so they don't get much sleep.  Any little edge...

FYI, like last year, the MAC has asked all of its schools to hold off until June in announcing home game times. Last year, we got the go-ahead on June 15.

Thanks.

To hazard a guess (and this is purely a guess), I imagine they're both looking to release them all across the conference simultaneously, to spur media coverage rather than trickling them out game-by-game, and I would guess they're also working out which games will be part of the ESPN Regional TV package the first six Saturdays (as well as potentially some STO windows, as well).

Dear lord, I hope I don't have to choose between Frank and Nancy Wilson!  I'm afraid for what I might do.

Winner my arse.  The only tv coverage for the Gardner Webb game would be Nicklelodian or the Comedy Channel.

Volleyball has a 1PM start at home against Marshall that day. Football and volleyball generally schedule around each other and cross-promote, so Gardner Webb might start later in the day.

I think most all September home games have been 7 PM starts in recent years. I would be surprised if Gardner-Webb wasn't a 7 PM start.

Akron's game against Gardner Webb was televised last year...and Akron lost.

Come on!  It's a GALA.  They can't conflict.  How often do have a chance to go to a GALA, especially a quasiquadquinitcentettennial or whatever that word they're using is?

I hope they ask me because I think night time college football is just wrong.  The weather in Septemebr could be hot or it could be perfect but collegiate football on campus is meant to be played in sunlight whenever possible.

Not sure on the Gardner Webb game time either, but the letter I got in the mail the other day says the Marshall game is 7 p.m.

Yeah...me too Ted.

Luke Fickellwalker and The Evil Empire have announced a noon kickoff.....maybe less scarlet and gray on campus this year.
