Never gets old.

"We'll play four quarters."

This year.  The whole season.

Still the most fun I've had at a game, bar none! Good memories :)

Progress will be achieved when this is no longer the program's greatest post-1970 moment.

Even though that's Dion's most notable performance, his greatest play might have occurred the week before in an ugly loss at Northwestern.  NW was running an option sweep to the right and Dion was at the edge to cut it off.  He read the QB's eyes (the QB did telegraph what was coming), picked off the pitch in mid-air and ran it back for a 62-yard TD.  It was the first (and only) time I'd ever seen an option pitch picked off in mid-air and run back for a TD.  Haven't found a video of that, probably because it isn't as memorable as the Pitt game.

You know, I've always thought that the Pitt players probably got off the bus in Athens, looked around and thought "My God, this is worse than Morgantown."  They had this "What are we doing here?" look about them all night -- helped along by the way OU's D shut them down.

As for this season, with Keller and Moore back, I can see the Cats returning to the '09 turnover level.

Agreed!   But, I stil love to watch this video.  Thanks for posting it!

I wish we had video (film) of earlier significant victories -- like the 35-6 pounding of UK in the early 1970s, the trouncing of SIU in Peden in 1960, in what was in essence a championship game, and the victory over Miami in the early 1960s with a score of something like 12-6 in which no TDs were scored. Was at all of those game.  There's also the victory in the 1930s, that I wasn't at, where Jim Snyder caught a pass and ran something like 80 yards for the one and only TD against Illinois.  It was a Bobcat victory by a 6-0 score.  A few years earlier Ohio had also beaten the Illini by an identical 6-0 score.  As kid I heard so much about those Illinois victories by Peden's crew that in my mind's eye I have visions of what it was like, but I've never seen any footage.  When I was a kid they would have pennants on game game for the flag poles at the back end of the east and west stands for all the MAC schools and for Illinois.  I was told this was because Peden was an Illinois graduate, and also to commemorate those earlier victories over the Illini.  Now with our more recent Frank Era victory over Illinois maybe that would be a good tradition to bring back.
