Makes me want to rush to Peden when/if the game is on tv. (joke towards another thread).

In all seriousness the kids can't control the schedule, they just have to play baby! Play hard!

EMU at 115; UB at 113:

By the way, hadn't realized that Doug Martin is now at NMSU until Rivals mentioned it in their rundown of the Aggies.

Been waiting 'til the Cats checked in, and there they are at 83:

It's a good assessment of the team, and they still wind up the fifth best in the MAC.  Interestingly, they'll have Rutgers somewhere ahead of the Cats.  Still, eight of the eleven 1A schools come in below OU.  I've been figuring the Cats to win 8-12 games this year, and this has it in that range.

Hey, when you play in the TVC you should win 8 to 12 games.

Pre-season rankings "don't mean crap."  It's what happens on the field that counts.

Hmm . . . we're 1A; O$U is 1A; the real OU is 1A; Rutgers is 1A.  But 1A is now FBS.  1A is the old term.  Perhaps, you meant BCS not 1A or FBS?

I think FBS and FCS could use a little FDS.  The renaming was purely for PR purposes.  No matter how you slice it, football at the CS schools is treated as a second-class citizen to BS football.  Otherwise, ESPN, FSN, CBS and the rest would be featuring them, instead of having one game on The U at 6:00 Sunday nights for about six weeks.  In my mind, BS is still 1A and CS is still 1AA.

That isn't it at all, or at least you're missing the point.

The NCAA stopped using A and AA to show that there is indeed a Division I college football playoff, one that Bowl Subdivision teams choose to opt out of.

Good point, Alan.  As an AHS alumnus I know exactly what you mean.  Wasn't like that back in my day when we played a "murders row" (sorry Gordon) each week with the likes of  Nelsonville, Middleport, Wellston, Pomeroy, Jackson, Gallipolis and Logan on the schedule week after week.
