I hope that McCrae is given a legit chance to make at least the Steelers practice squad. He's had back to back seasons of 9 touchdown receptions. He's tall and has use in the redzone.

He never really racked up a lot of receptions while at OU so he's gonna have to have a good camp. I hope it all works out and he joins Taylor Price as recent OU wide receivers in the NFL.

Congrats to the three Bobcats that have signed. I am a little upset that they signed with my two least favorite teams in the NFL so I won't be able to root for them too much, but whatever.

The Jets seem to have a thing for Ohio's First and Finest when it comes to Free Agents...That's where Brinker got his shot too.  I wonder if there's a relationship within the Ohio Coaching Staff?

NIU's Chad Spann to the Colts.
CMU's Vince Agnew to the Dolphins.
Kent State's Kirk Belgrave to the Falcons.
Bellore to Jets not Broncos.
Kent State's Cobrani Mixon to the Lions.
CMU's Jeff Maddux to the Lions.
Temple's Eli and Peanut Joseph to the Packers.

So far, NFL teams have signed 5 Owl

Vaugh Charlton Pittsburgh
Mike Campbell NY Jets
Elijah Joseph Green Bay
Elisha Joseph Green Bay
Colin Madson Baltimore.

With the two Owls selected in the 1st 2 rounds, that makes 7 graduating Owls to the NFL....thank you.

Not sure how they get along, though, they each have a former Nebraska head coach.

Verbals mean nothing. Once temple loses to Ohio again like every single season..out played..out coached..those 23 kids that said sure we would love to come to temple will dwindle down.

Stafford Gatling to the Jets.

Video of his Draft prep:

Watched the whole video because I'm that much of a fitness geek.  Very, very impressive array of dynamic strength and agility workouts.  i hope it pays off for Stafford.
Now I want a really big tire to pound on.  What great stress relief that must be.

You know, Josh Abrams was there for part of the '08 season.  I read somewhere that there are a few OU sports mgt grads in the Jets organization, but I don't think they were in player development.  They had the Terd's Chad Pennington, too, so maybe the Jets just like people who look good in green and white.

And they still finished THIRD in the East.  Guess it means that the whole was less than the sum of the parts.

Looked him up on the web and found that he was with the CFL's Toronto's Argos last year and was released a month ago (might have been victim of the CFL's limit on non-Canadian players; they released two other "imports" at the time).  Wherever he goes, I hope he does well.
