Seattle Times says it's under discussion.  It would involve the top four in the BCS standings.  The Cotton would become BCS and two of the bowls would host semifinals on a rotating basis (except the Rose, which still wants Big Tedozen-PAC 12 matchup) and one of the bowls (including the Rose) would host the national championship on a rotating basis.  Still would have the same BCS formula though; no actual playoff beyond the top four in the BCS standings:
