I don't really fall into any poll category (and thus didn't vote). All things equal, yeah, sure, I might think about it. But, for example, my primary preference, say, in bookstores was always College because of their local nature vs. Follett's, even though Follett's probably had more skin in the athletics game.
Do places like Wendy's or McDonald's get a boost from ads? It seems unlikely. Marketing is such a black art kind of thing.
And no amount of sponsored dance team performances would've made me consider patronizing Riverpark Towers.
But, Millstone BBQ probably got stopped at a couple more times than I would've otherwise because of their support in ads and having schedule posters in their entrance.
So, kinda?
