First - I can't wait for Saturday. I can't pay attention at work and it's only Tuesday.

That said, what is wrong with Keller? Solich saying he and Bates have missed a lot of time this camp?

I just don't think we can get to where this team wants to go this year unless NK is playing 100%.

I hope it is nothing serious.

Keller has had hamstring issues and my sense is that they've just taken it easy on him in camp so we have him available for the season.  Bates is a bigger question - Jason Arkley has alluded to "tests" but never indicated what the tests are for.  Frustrating.

During the Know a Bobcat Better inteview on the Athletic Dept. Website, Noah seemed pretty fired up for the Marshall game.  I have a feeling it is challenge for the medical staff and coaches to have him slow down a bit while healing.

They're being incredibly coy on the Bates thing, which tells me this is an attempt at competitive misdirection.  Guessing Mr. Bates will be a central part of our offense in NM.

Maybe H.R. "Bob" Haldeman has the scoop from the administration?

According to Arkley's tweets Bates and Benjamin both practicing today. Out King and Roback.

I posted this in another thread, too:  According to the team report published by USA Today & Yahoo, Bates has (or had) a blood count issue:

--QB/WR Phil Bates has not practiced in two weeks as Ohio's medical staff tries to get a handle on a blood count problem with the senior. When healthy, Bates will be a potent weapon as either a running option at quarterback or one of the Bobcats wideouts

Per Arkley

"True to form, Bates getting reps at both QB and WR. Looks fine. Absent today though is RB R. Boykin."

"RT Roback injured recently? Extended period of time?--Same issue as earlier in camp (back). I think they'll go slow with him"

"More good news for LB E. Benjamin. Getting reps today with no red jersey. Crazy sonofagun may play"

Really excited to see Phil in his new role!  Looks like Boykin's missed a couple of days non injury related though...
