One of my issues with football has always been you don't feel like you get to know much about the team due to roster size, fewer games, and helmets/pads. I feel like I know DJ Cooper a lot better than I do Donte Harden. Something like this addresses that weakness beautifully.
My jab at the MAC offices:
We have always had Phillips Club seats. When the Cats sat on the press box side, we knew the "kids" (to us), watched them mature through their careers and felt connected to their experience. It was the best part of the the game to us. I've complained to the AD's office and while they regret it to some extent it's to no avail.
Since the team was moved across the field, I've learned some new insults (spoken by visiting coaches), had the explicit pleasure of screaming proudly over the visiting team bench after a great play and been challenged to a fight by a backup M%$#& QB. As much fun as all that stuff is, I prefer seeing the Cats up close.
