Sorry about the earlier empty post; My iPad doesn't seem to work with the site...

During the broadcast of the NMSU game, I saw several folks on the sidelines with orange hats and shirts that clearly had the arch OHIO logo, and I haven't seen that before.

Can we get that stuff somewhere?

Those are the coaches/staffers who communicate the play calls to the offense.

I'm guessing that was a component of the new No Huddle Offense.  Have to be visible from the field as they signal in plays...

That being said, the downstairs portion of College Book Store can put an Ohio logo on pretty much anything you want them to.  They cater to the Greek but it's a very useful service when you want something a little different...

Many teams do this. Usually the 2nd and 3rd string QB's who are relaying play information or acting as decoys wear the hats to help the offense better see them on the sidelines. I noticed on Saturday that Notre Dame was wearing red hats. Usually it is designated as a color that would not occur on the normal sidelines. I can't say that I like the orange color but it would be effective.

We can't all start wearing orange now! Tyler and the rest of the O will be super confused when BA'ers start calling plays :) Monroe will somehow signal for a non-existent full back.

someone of a side note but I was really impressed with Vick on the sidelines saturday. Every time he was on camera he was very active in calling in the plays, rooting on the team, etc. Looked to always have a clipboard or headphones on, always fully engaged.

really liked seeing that from the freshman. Was in stark contrast to A&Ms new freshman QB earlier in the day, the announcers were ripping him for standing off by himself and not being engaged nat all.

Sounds like the difference between a prima donna that will be caught in a tattoo parlor within two years, snorting blow from a hooker's backside, and a future starting quarterback.
