To be honest, I didn't know their program had such a huge obstacle. Hope they can overcome.

I'm sure they'll find some way to avoid Tuesday and Friday morning classes this season.  They have a Friday home game against Boise, and Tuesday home games vs. NIU and WMU.

Forgot to ask Beckman at Media Day "what exactly do you and the team like to do on Saturday?"

Think they lead the nation in non-Saturday games with 5; no MAC team has fewer than 3.

My question? Why we back load all the mid-weekers to November? Wouldn't a game do a better number on a September Tuesday than later in the year? Unsure why the MAC doesn't just have the 'National' Tuesday Night GOTW.

Football players going to class on game day?  Perish the thought! What a taskmaster those MAC Daddies are . . .

That going to class thing probably gets in the way of the point shaving/line fixing duties of many of their "student/athletes" as well. Tough to juggle all those responsibilities.

In the larger scheme of things, what does it mean that the MAC once allowed a student-athlete to miss classes?  Does the Commissioner call the instructor to ask for quizes to be made up, papers to be submitted late?  To think that the NCAA has alleged academic fraud when tutors have "assisted" atheletes to keep them eligible is laughable when an entire conference was playing this game.

The simple answer to the MAC problem and to Beckman's complaint is the one many of us can agree on: end these stupid mid-week games.
