Game times are mostly set. Big news is the home game with Iowa State is a noon kick broadcast on ESPN2 or U.
A 4pm Pacific time kick for San Diego State was certainly a choice. Better hope everyone is hydrated, fans included.

Most excited I've been for a Saturday game in a while. Especially if we're 3-0 heading into a noon game on ESPN. Athens should be jumpin. OSU doesn't start til 2, and only playing WKU. No excuses not to have one of the largest crowds in Peden history.

Any idea when tickets go on sale?

I was not there but I read Iowa State traveled big in 2001 so the possibility is there for ISU fans to show out. Doesn't hurt the team won 10 games either.

I was there in 2001. It was the biggest turnout of opposing fans that I can ever remember, save for Marshall. I think they have a very active alumni association in Ohio and they must have promoted the game big time. I would not be surprised for a repeat performance this year.

ISU won by three points (31-28) in that 2001 game in Knorr's home opener as a coach. I've sometimes wondered if the trajectory of his career as a head coach might have been different if he'd won that game. We were 0-2 going into the game. A win would have made OHIO 1-2 going into a home game with #23 ranked Toledo. We end up losing that game by a TD. A win against the Cyclones might have really helped psychologically in preparing for the Rockets. Sometimes football can be a game of momentum and attitude. The close loss at home to ISU kind of took the wind out of our sails and we went 1-10 for the season.

I was there, too. as I recall, we cut the lead to 31-28 with a TD with about seven minutes to go. but then seneca Wallace and ISU just ran out the clock. Our D couldn't get off the field and allowed them 4-5 yds a play. ISU probably could've scored again if they had wanted to.

Better than noon but not as good as 2PM.

Makes for an even longer day for the 110 and it's followers. Parade will still be at 10am then they will kill time till pre-game, then game, then post game show will put the 110 with an 11 hour day. Also wrecks dinner plans if you stay to watch the post game show.

I agree. What do we do between the parade and kickoff? That's too long.

Some guy on reddit believes that we are already confirmed for ESPN2 against Iowa State. The other game that is an option between ESPN2/U for that time slot is Wake Forest at Old Dominion.

Will service uptown be that slow that you enter for lunch at 11:15am and don't get out till 1:45pm to walk to pre-game?

Or did you mean, Drink lunch?
