Okay, well since you all aren't good at this.

I'll just got back to saying Ohio sucks. You have beaten us ONCE in the past eleven attempts.

Good day.

You have no idea how thankful I am that I'm not good at being like you.

Living in N.J. I have a number of friends and clieints who are big R.U. fans.
From talking to them they are,to say the least, a bit concerned about the game.

1.They think R.U. may take us lightly, especially after the results of the last game we played there.
Different RU sites see things completely different.  RU rivals site is the largest and the most over the top on every subject.  The sky is always falling with a lot of the posters there.  RU scout site spends more time battling fans of Uconn and Syracuse.  Sometimes it hard to tell if there's a game going on with RU.  The third site (State of Rutgers) is very in depth with the recruiting process and has several former RU players involved with it.  This site has less outside visitors from oppositing teams, so it's more upbeat  and open.

2.They don't like the fact that  they have to play us after a bye week, especially since North Carolina tried
to give them the game and they still lost.
It's has nothing to do with Ohio, but more with the season just started and RU is hit with a bye week.
3.They are worried about R.U.'s running game. And are really upset now that De'Antwan Williams
    left the team.
There is concern about the running game, but it starts with the old OC who ran a spread offense.  After a few years with the old offense RU has switched back to the power run game.  As of now they don't have the personnel up front to run it.  Now, RU is over-stocked with skill players which is the reason they will be in most game.  Even when it seemed like the opponent (UNC) had them down the skill players can create a big play to change the complexion of the game.

The story behind Williams is he's a fan favorite.  Williams was a 4 star recruit out of Va.  His first 2 years he didn't work as hard to earn a spot.  After last season Williams re-committed himself to being a better ball player and earn the starting spot and the respect of the fans.  Williams now feels he's been over looked because frosh 5 star Savon Huggins (NJ player of the year & top 5 RB coming out of HS '11) is viewed by the local media as the next Ray Rice.  Also, another top notch RB (Deering who picked RU over Florida St.) is back from injury and played this past Saturday for the first time.  Williams' decision was made without thinking it through.  Coach Schiano has granted him is release, but has made it clear he is welcomed back.  Williams  said he'll make a decision soon.

4.Most people are still not sold on their Q.B.It seems like only a matter of time before their true freshman (Nova) will get a shot .
Dodd is loved by most fans, it just that frosh Nova is a local product from national ranked HS Don Boso.  Nova was the top QB in NJ last year and just like Huggins there is pressure to play him NOW.  Those who dislike Dodd are holdovers from Tom Savage who was frosh All-American 2 years ago, but lost his job to Dodd last year.
All I can say is GO BOBCATS !

All I can say is once a COMET always a COMET
Go RU and Go CU

I don't spend much time checking out Rutgers Fan Boards.Once in a while I'll look at the "Fan Forum" on NJ.com.
but that's it.

My comments were based on discussions I've had with friends and clients, most of whom are long time RU season ticket holders.

One thing I disagree with you on is RU's QB.Most of the RU fans I know are not sold on the QB,even
though he's supposed to be better in RU's new offensive set.
For the most part they weren't big Savage fans either, but did think that  didn't get a fair shake from Schiano last year.
They're convinced that Nova is the QB of the future and that Schiano will find a way to get him in,especially if RU is losing games.

Then again they also aren't real big Sciano fans anymore either. They feel that, for the amount of time and money  RU (New Jersey taxpayers actually) have spent on Schiano and the RU football program they should have won the Big East at least once.

As a former Comet,I agree,go Comets.
BUT I'll be a Bobcat forever

I think a lot of people are growing long in the tooth with Schiano.  After the '06 season people thought it was only a matter of time before RU would win a few Big East Championships.  All Schiano has to show is 2 second place showings, 2 third place showings and a complete meltdown last year.  I always remind people they could rehire Terry Shea and see where the program is now compared to then.
