What is it with this? Helmets never used to pop off with such ease. When I was in high school, we frequently got flagged for "equipment," which was usually called for not putting in your mouthpiece or snapping your chin strap.

Why isn't that kind of thing still enforced? You can't watch a game without seeing someone's helmet flying at least once, and usually many times throughout the game.

If you look into the facemask of these guys, you can see the cheek pads are no where near as tightly worn as they used to be. Is fashion trumping form on this?

Too many players with IQ's  below 80.  In today's game, with the size, speed and strength...these kids are incredibly foolish to play with ill fitting helmets and loose chin straps.

Watched Duke/BC today.  No Duke player lost a helmet.  Coincidence?  I think not.
