I think if Rutgers is completely focused, we can still bring home a "W."  We are no doubt the better team.  Go OHIO!

This the one game on the schedule that I had as a likely stumbling block between one loss and no losses going into the Temple game.  If the Bobcats display the same level of disciplined football at Rutgers, there's no reason that the Temple game can't be for an undefeated regular season.   That's the most disciplined OU team or quite honestly any team that I've ever seen in Peden.

To answer the original post's question:  No.  Most kids on college teams don't get involved in that kind of thinking.  

This would be completely garbage to buy into.  If any of the people in that football program have had a days experience, they would know that the golden rule of football (actually, any sport for that matter) is to worry about what you can control.  What happens on the 100 yards in between endzones on the football field is all they'll care about.  If the Big East dissolves, they'll continue playing football on saturdays. 

Make no mistake, we have their full, undevided attention.  Especially after the roundhouse kick we delivered to Marshall last night.

News Flash:  As I said in the Spring, Rutgers routinely gets 8-10-12 3 Star type recruits a year.  This game is at their place and they have had an extra week to prep for us (I believe).  So, at best I see this as a toss up.  If the Bobcats bring their A-game, they will be fine.  anything less and it will be difficult.

Looking at the rankings on espn.com, we are ranked 67th in passing, 12th in rushing yards, 21st in points for, and 12th for points against.  Rutgers is 61st for passing, 112th in rushing yards, 41st for points for, and 14 for points against.

To add perspective, NMSU was 117th in rushing and 24th in passing, Marshall was 94th in rushing.

Rutgers Defense is somewhat even to ours as is passing.  If they can't establish the run as the stats show that they do have trouble doing so then we can concentrate a little more on the pass and possibly create some nightmare scenarios.  Now I read that Harden left the game due to an injury.  I noticed that he left but didn't realize that he might've been injured.  Should he come back healthy and we have all our offensive weapons then we should be fine as long as the defense plays like they have been, especially if they keep it up with getting the turnovers.
