I listened to the post game call in show on marshall's radio flagship on my drive back to Gallia county. If I heard one more fan talk about Marshall losing to a "MAC school" my head was going to explode. Here is a news flash herd fans. Marshall would lose to several MAC schools. I am sorry but C USA is nothing special and perhaps only slightly stronger than the MAC. Here is the bottom line Herd fans. Your team was beaten by a superior Ohio football team that has a superior head coach. Marshall had a nice run from 97-02 but those days are long gone. It's time to move on! GO OHIO!

Look at the bright side.  On herdnation they are melting down  About none of them think it's because their players are not as good as ours.  They all think it was coaching.

So, they're half right..  And their suffering warms my heart.

Marshall isn't that bad, we are that good! We looked more athletic tonight and we won the battle up front.

I don't see how any reasonable person could watch that game and come to a different conclusion. Perhaps the problem is that they've beaten us the last few years. But this is a VERY different Ohio team.

The score was 44-7. Ohio showed they are a skilled well coached team with experience. This could be the best team since 1968 in Athens.  This team can really win over a lot of fans with a win at Rutgers.

The Cats were simply faster and more physical. Doesn't matter what the conference affiliation. So blown away by the o line. Did Curry play?

Listened to the same program for about 80% of my drive. My favorite caller was the guy who said Marshall's coaching staff should be fired because they just lost "to a high school team." 44 points later and we still don't get respect.

I went to HerdNation last night and thought that 90% of the Marshall fans were respectful of our team and believed that they were beaten by a very good team. I thought most of them handled it with some class.

I think it's clear to just about everyone that we are better than Marshall (because of the way the ball bounced, probably not quite as much better as the score reflected). That said, I think we have potential to be a very, very, very good team this year. Barring bonehead plays, we very well could end the season as a ranked team. Beat Rutgers.
