My season tickets seats will be empty next weekend. Can't justify paying for hotel and meals to come watch this crap.

Clearly you became a Bobcat fan after 1995 or so.  And you also took a hiatus during the Brain Knorr years..

Don't blame them.  Next week, the Terd has Virginia Tech at home.  Won't be pretty.

Given some of the stupd cow clowns who've been here lately, it does not disappointment me that we are killing them.

They just couldn't match our intensity tonight. Not to mention that we have better athletes who are better coached.

It's not like they stink. WE ARE GOOD PEOPLE.

I loved reading all the bluster this week about having the best rush defense in the country and how we're 1 dimensional and can't throw, etc.

it feels so good!

I believe that stupd cow asserted here this week that their SPEED and DEPTH is clearly superior to ours.

Any one want to re-visit that conclusion.

If anyone noticed, there were some scuffles outside Peden in the late part of the evening while the game was going on.  I noticed the OUPD patrol car lights blinking and was told that it was some Marshall fans fighting each other.

Possibly some Hatfield and McCoy kin delicately discussing the offensive game plan?????

I enjoyed this article from Huntington. Apparently the Marshall loss was not in any way related to the performance of Ohio, who is just some MAC team, and "not Ohio State", and the only reason Marshall lost is that they were flat.

Looks like the local press is just as delusional as the fan base.

I'm friends with some herd fans, and it's the same way. Excuses, excuses, excuses! When you lose 44-7, don't you think the opponent might have something to do with it? Just saying...

BIG LARRY: The Marshall Thundering Herd Football team has crashed to earth in spectacular fashion…Dropping a game to WVU is forgivable… but getting blown out by another MAC school was unthinkable.

I saw Saturday night a very large and physical Marshall Football team get pushed around by a bunch of extremely “Skinny” Ohio football players who looked like they were all wearing “black tights”.

This came from a comment following one of the Huntington Dispatch articles. This kind of stuff can be very annoying, especially coming from a fan of a FORMER MAC SCHOOL. I would bet that kind of superiority complex is part of what fueled Ohio's total domination last night. So if that's true, I guess I should hope the Herd fans keep that attitude.

Unbelievable. Not to mention the poor choice of words: 'crashed to earth.' Really?

Copied and pasted from another Topic as this one seems more approprate for this ramble:

No doubt the Marshall fan base is larger and a whole lot more loyal. Huntington is surrounded by several other smaller cities in that Tristate area that are all larger than Athens. Also, aren't Marshall and WVU the only D1 universities in WestByGod? I think I am accurate in saying that Ohio has quite a few more which split the fan base. Last year I attended the Marshall/Ohio clash at "The Joan" and I was very impressed by the size of the crowd and their intensity. Again, those are qualities of teams whose fans do not need to drive more than a 100 miles to a home game. Sizes of crowds and loyalty of fans do not make a team, football players do however, and our team wanted that game last night. Too bad the Marshall team didn't. Still, it was a pretty good thrashing. I have enjoyed reading the Herd message boards today and all of the blame being cast here and there for their abysmal performance. No credit, by the way to our team's performance; they are apparently poorly coached and too young to be playing college ball. One theme that seems to run through a lot of their posts is their distress at losing to a mere MAC team. I had no idea that CUSA was such a lofty achievement for another appalachian school. In fact, I thought when they squeezed by us in the Pizza Bowl that we were a formidable opponent at that time and even last year at their place. Now we are "just a MAC school." Perhaps there will be a day in the future that they can become bowl eligible again and will get to play another one of those inferior MAC opponents. Maybe Temple needs to consider CUSA. The thought processes of the fan bases are eerily similar. They are just too good for us!

As for that "article" from the Herald Dispatch, we should also, to borrow the words of the author, "consider the source":  Chuck Landon wrote the article.  Unbearable in victory, insufferable in defeat.  An absolute jerk who has no respect whatsoever for Ohio University.

obviously the writer was not watching the same game. The score at half was only 34-7.

Actually I felt like the second half was more of a beat-down. In the first half Ohio had the advantage of a 6-1 turnover differential, so their lead was not surprising. In the second half, though, Ohio turned the ball over once, while Marshall didn't turn it over at all, yet despite not trying very hard to score, and despite losing the second half turnover battle, Ohio won the second half 10-0.
