Okay, I could see Indiana playing Ball State in Indy.  But this week they go to North Texas.  A road game at NORTH TEXAS!!!!!  Why there?  Why not here?

I have said the same thing about UVA. We have recruited Richmond well for the past ten years but have not been able to schedule UVA for about 18 years.  UVA has hosted Akron, Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan several times.  Western had a two for one deal as UVA traveled to Western Michigan and even Middle Tenn State.

North Texas is opening a brand new stadium this year.  Perhaps this game was scheduled hoping that it could be scheduled to have a Big Ten team as the home opener of the brand new stadium, but it couldn't work out and UNT was forced to open with Houston.

If you remember back to 2009, when Akron was opening InfoCision Stadium, Kentucky was scheduled to come in and open the stadium so the Zips were supposed to open the stadium against an SEC team.  I believe Kentucky bought out the contract so they could play another home game, and Akron was forced to open up their new stadium against Morgan State.  They brought in their BCS opponent the next week trying to get a large attendance that they hoped for in their opener.  Their Opponent?  Indiana.

I could be way off, but that's the first thing that popped in my head.

Indiana needs wins. They think UNT will be a cake walk, which it might be BUT I can see UNT winning this one and getting a BCS scalp for their new stadium.
