Can't find the thread about the predictions for our record for the year.  I'm guessing that the average has us winning about 10 games including playing in MAC title game and a bowl.  Weren't there a fair number of perfect season predictions?

So, we see that perfect season is an awfully high standard no matter what a teams strength of sched is.  (Don't make me go off on my rant about how stupd cow was #1 the year that they went undefeated.)

Okay.  So, we're not gonna be undefeated.  But we're 3-1 and the prospects (this year...recruiting!) are bright.

So, why is it dead here this week?  Few posts, few new or active threads.  Are we gonna have only have 14k at this week's game?

kents?

Two theories:

1) We're back to same-ol', same-ol' ennui of the MAC portion of our  schedule. Sure, we all love getting reacquainted with our favorite directionals and such, but it does take awhile to warm up to it. Think of our OOC schedule like a vacation to Las Vegas. Ok, more like a trip to Laughlin. Well, ok, bingo night at the Church of the Latter Day Snakehandlers. Whatever. Now think about how it is when you return home back to dullsville. Takes awhile to accept your lot in life. That's what the MAC schedule is... our lot in life. But soon enough we'll be all excited for a game against a directional while our significant other wears their "My [fill in your blank] went to the Gardner Webb game and all I got is this T-shirt" T-shirt.

2) Due to this board's recent flare ups of hemorrhoidal proportions, there is a question on what one can/cannot post. Seems there are rules that are need to be adhered to. Can't hurt feelings. Can't be honest, especially if it hurt's feelings because you never know who's reading, i.e. administration, helicopter parents, parole officer, etc. Four legs good, two legs bad. If it's brown, flush it down. Etc., etc., etc....

Sure you can spout positive stuff, but it's hard to really add a different perspective to it without singing the same song..

ex.
The Bobcats are awesome!
The Bobcats are super awesome!
The Bobcats are totally super awesome!
The Bobcats are totally super awesome infinity!

I mean- Go Bobcats! Beat Kent! Do it with honor and respect! But if you lose, it's no one's fault.

When I started thinking about colleges in 1980, my Dad said he would help pay the tuition for any school in Ohio I could get into except for Kent State.  He thought it was the most liberal and radical university because of the shootings.  He had no idea Ohio University was probably more liberal.

We were in Athens during our visit looking at schools and were walking by the Frontier Room when I could smell somone smoking a joint.  My father took a deep whiff and said "they must have a backed up sewer line".  I waited until I graduated and then explained the truth of that moment.

My understanding was different. If you are totally rude and disrespectful and say inappropriate things you may get banned, and/or your posts may get edited or deleted. As for just being rude or negative, there is no rule against it, but good manners would suggest that you think before you post.

My sister goes to Kent. I know more people there than any other school aside from Youngstown State. Every time I visit their campus I hate it more and more. This is my big rivalry game.

Don't nobody?! Be careful Monroe, the grammar police has been out in full force lately.

Yes, we care! Personally, I would like to pound the Flashes into the turf on Saturday.

Here's a reason to get fired up: Although the Cats lead the series 37-24-2, at Peden OU leads only 17-13-1.  Barely above .500 on our own turf!  That should pi** off every Cat fan to no end.  And only one win vs. Kent at home in this millenium!  That's disgusting!  Defend the home turf.  Beat the Golden Flushes.

Kent write

Kent State

My pal Wundo hung out with the Montagnards and HE went to Kent State....must have been all that rice wine in the communal gourd.  Ain't been right since.
