Kent has taken the last two in the series and has won four of the last five at Peden -- the loss coming in 2005, Solich's first season.  We've ended the Terd streak; now to stop the Flushes.

I agree...we're due against Kent State.  Especially after not having our best performance this past week, nothing would make players/fans forget about that quicker than a nice comfortable win this week. Go Bobcats!

We owe Kent bigtime.  We need to take out our frustrations on the Flashes this Saturday.

Can't will feel the wrath...

Saturday was a bump in the road...Yes it dashed our chances of being ranked early, but not finishing that way.  It was a road BCS game against a team that had 2 weeks to prepare, the publicity of the Marshall thrashing, Harden out and still it was just the turnovers that killed us.  A very special season with an extremely talented team is still intact!

I hope they do not fire their coach this week and show up with Black Pants and Black Helmets.

I hope you guys are right about the Rutgers game being a fluke.  What I saw in NJ was a lot of mistakes and undisciplined play.  Stupid penalties, missed takles, turnovers, etc. killed the Cats in that game.  It would be a lot easier to accept a loss to a superior team, but I think OU could have won that game.  They had some talented players, but Sanu was WIDE open on half of his catches.  I could have caught 5 balls against our defense.  Third down defense was atrocious and they ran the ball very effectively against us.  I understand Donte and Travis are important, but we were exposed in that game.  I would love to see the aggressive, in-your-grill defense we saw against Marshall the rest of the season.

I think OU pounds Kent this week, but I am more worried about upcoming games vs. BG and Temple.  If the things that plagued us on Saturday are not fixed permanently, winning the MAC is a pipe dream.  I think it is still possible to win out.  All around, Ohio will be better than every single one of the remaining opponents (except maybe Temple).  If mistakes can be limited, a return to Detroit should happen.  A solid win this Saturday will be a step back in the right direction.

IMHO those mistakes were indicative of a team that was trying too hard...They were in a place they weren't used to being in.  I think they're just getting used to being in a position where they can realistically expect to win a road BCS game just playing within themselves.\

Now that the undefeated / ranked talk won't be a factor anymore, they can concentrate on the next opponent and only the next opponent.  With Tyler and Noah there to keep an even keel on both sides of the ball, I'm confident they'll be more than fine moving forward...

Kant wait until Saturday. Taking the whole crew down. I did not get to see the Rutgers Game live or on video so I had to settle for old school mobile score updates. Just not the same as being able to watch live.

Just in case you did not see this (I didn't), I got this in an email from one of my Bobcat Bro's this morning. Hats off to the guys/gals using modern media:

After the Terd game, I was concerned that this might turn out to be a trap game.  There was such a big high coming off Terd -- especially with getting votes in the USA Today poll -- that a win over Rutgers, and more votes in the polls, could've backfired.  Not only might the team have been a little too full of themselves, but they would've had a bullseye on their backs.  Don't get me wrong -- I wanted a win at Rutgers.  But now maybe they'll be a little more down to earth and a little more focused on the task at hand: beating Kent and starting the road to a MAC crown.
