For sure.....hardly any Ohio talk on the Rutgers board....could be the realignment thing....but I think it's just a total disregard by the fans....here are some of the reasons why one SK fan thinks Ohio is a not a very good team:

*Marshall couldn't tackle.

* TT only has 3 games at QB.

* Marshall and Ohio have terrible kick coverage.

* Rutgers has tons more speed.

* No QB pressure from Ohio.

* Ohio can't secure the ball and will have numerous turnovers.

* Ohio's O Line can't pass block.

* Ohio's D can't handle cutback runs.

* Ohio's last BCS win in 06.

* recent record against the MAC is 7-1.

We'll see.
Sounds a lot like Marshall fan predictions...I like...

How many does their stadium seat?  How many fans are likely to be there on Saturday?

Anyone have any thoughts on our team speed vs. Rutgers'?  I thought that we were definitely faster than stupd cow.

Officially seats 52,454. On their board a lot of people are predicting between 44-49k. I think it's their parents weekend, so there will probably be more people there than a normal, non-conference, non-BCS game.

My keys for the game:

RUTGERS

*stop Ohio's running game.

* use superior WR size advantage for the red zone.

* pressure Ohio QB into mistakes.

OHIO

* concentrate on parts of the offense like the option that Rutgers is unfamiliar with.

* us the special teams to their advantage.

* stay healthy.

Of all the keys....the stay healthy is the most important one for me.  Rutgers has a bunch of 3 star athletes and for some of their young players like their RB it could be a breakout game.

Sure....we have a great chance to win....but not jumping off the Richland Avenue bridge if we lose.

GO CATS

NJ.com interviews our own Ted Thompson!

Well spoken Ted!  The question about a single impact player couldn't have been easy to answer, but I agree T2 is runnning the show...Nice thing is there are so many other names Rutgers will need to worry about!

Is "Nitro Offense" a thing?  That what we're calling it?  I like it, just hadn't heard it before until reading this and a few other NJ articles.

A Rutgers player termed Ohio's offense as "nitro."

Looks like the forecast is calling for rain.  Who does that benefit?

I would think it benefits us since we have a better rushing game.

Per Arkley - Harden practiced today but only bc it was a no pad practice...

On a related note - Good news for us...Bad news for Can't

Per Ogden - Jeff King has been cleared for next week!

Here's hoping Roback gets the same news...

I have never been so excited for a game.
Five years ago who would have thought we would be playing a BCS team at their house with the expectation to bring home a win and not just hopes.  Most folks would have probably asked me to pass the bowl around.

GO BOBCATS BRING HOME THE WIN!!!

4-0 GOING INTO MAC PLAY!!!

Saw this on the Rutgers board, and couldn't help but laugh.  From the ESPN Play-By-Play tab on the box score:

Quote:expand_more
Justin Doerner punt for 30 yards, returned by LaVon Brazill, fumbled, forced by Wayne Warren, recovered by Rutgr Ka'Lial Glaud at the Ohio 15, Ka'Lial Glaud for 13 yards, fumbled, recovered by Rutgr Marcus Cooper at the Ohio 3, lateral to Marcus Cooper for 3 yards, to the Ohio 0, tackled by Wayne Warren for a TOUCHDOWN.

Rutgers having a fine season and meeting them again in a bowl game would be fun.

Why is Rutgers having a fine season? Based on what? Yes, they defeated a 3-0 Bobcat team, but does that make a fine season? They will not be bowling this year.

Why the hate? It would be mutually beneficial to both of our teams to go undefeated (as unlikely as it is) from this point on...

No hate. I'll even root for Rutgers from here on out. However, 2-1 with wins v. NC Central and Ohio does not make a "fine season". Could be wrong, but with their remaining schedule I do not see a bowl in their near future.

You haven't really followed the Big East.  UConn is bad and Syracuse is 3-1, but easily and should be 1-3.  The Big East has 6 bowl tie-ins out of 8 teams.  If you recall Rutgers was 4-2 last year before the injury to Eric LeGrand and that change the complexion of the team emotionally and mentally.  The bottom line is outside of WVU and Cincinnati, RU has won most games against the other 6 Big East over the last 7 years.
RU is : 4-2 against Syracuse  btw SU must replace 26 seniors 12 who were starters
             5-1 against USF  plays wells, but has trouble match-up with RU.  USF won at home last year by 1 point
             5-1 against UConn  who was the BE champs.  RU beat them just before LeGrand's injury
             4-2 against Pitt  When RU wins it's blowout city, but when they lose it's a tight game.  Graham as the HC is not the answer so far
             4-2 against Louisville who like SU loss 24 seniors 14 who were starters.

Rutgers lone loss this year was against UNC (3-1) by 2 points at their place.  UNC is one of the favorites for the Atlantic division of the ACC.

Based on the remaining schedule in the Big East and Army & Navy a bowl games is likely.
