BTW, if these types of post (links to SBNation blogs) are not wanted just let me know. I'd hate to clutter up the place.

The numbers say Buffalo is in for a difficult Saturday offensively. Defensively for Buffalo the Bobcats will be a load with Harden returning to the backfield. The Bobcats will try to beat you with the run and if they fail to do that they'll certainly get you with the pass.

Gotta take the numbers with a grain of salt.  The Beefs' Div. 1A opponents were three AQ teams plus BSU that are 11-8 combined.  OU's 1A opponents were one AQ team and three non-AQs that are 8-11 combined.  Still, I think the Cats are the better team and should come away with a win, albeit a close one.

The pattern in these average MAC games is usually a draw in the first quarter, we adjust to the opponent, and then we start to take over. This is slightly attributable to more talent but I think a lot of it is better execution. The coaches in Athens are doing something right with an unreal receiving game. Routes and timing with the quarterbacks are excellent. The only way an average MAC school has a chance is if the game conditions limit the play book and they pick up a bunch of turnovers. Ohio has lost 3 MAC regular season games in the last 3 years. Two of those were to Kent State in miserable conditions. The other time was to Toledo by a touchdown with Noah Keller out. Toledo hardly qualifies as average MAC competition. The weather is projected to be good this weekend for Buffalo so with Harden back I'd take Ohio and the points.
