I believe that Temple is likely to keep its streak alive against Ball State -- never having beaten a MAC team with a winning record.  They'll come into Muncie thinking they're Okie U and leave looking like EMU.

I still remember walking out of the Horseshoe earlier this season hearing fans gush about how Joe Bauserman carved up the Akron defense.

If they had only known the depths Akron would sink..

Well, unfortunately they are SO bad, they will almost inevitably have a new coach next year, and then they pretty much have to get better. In the meantime, I wonder how that mall thing is working out for Manley.

Army @ Miami (OH) (Pick 'em) (Army has shown signs of life. Fiami....not so much)
Florida Intl. @ Akron (+20) (Kron sucks)
Temple (-10.5) @ Ball St. (Home team getting points....and I think Temple is maybe a little shell-shocked after last week)
Bowling Green @ Western Michigan (-10)  (I'm still not sold on BUGS, and I think WMU is legit)
Eastern Michigan @ Toledo (-20.5) (I think EMU keeps it closer for longer than most might think, but Toledo pulls away in the 2nd half)
Central Michigan @ NC St. (-13) (Too much love for CMU after the win last week)
Ohio (-8) @ Buffalo (Oh my GOD this is easy money)
Kent St. @ Northern Illinois (-17) (Finally, an offense NIU can stop)

Army @ Miami (OH) (Pick 'em) - Fiami gets first win
Florida Intl. @ Akron (+20) - ugh, Akron
Temple (-10.5) @ Ball St. - the  owls are great vs. MAC schools with losing records (edit) so they will struggle vs Ball
Bowling Green @ Western Michigan (-10) - BG covers in battle of 2 under-rated MAC teams
Eastern Michigan @ Toledo (-20.5) - UT is the best team in the MAC, right now
Central Michigan @ NC St. (-13) - no upset watch
Ohio (-8) @ Buffalo - Bobcats keep it rolling
Kent St. @ Northern Illinois (-17) - I almost picked Kent to cover - they are pretty strong on D

NC St - 13 has to be the biggest no brainer I've ever seen.

A lot of Akron fans think he'll get one more year, if only because they don't want to eat two years on his deal.

Akron was quite bad before Ianello, though....you can't put all the blame on him. I agree that he'll at least get another year, if only because of money.

Hmm . . . I heard that some of the corporate interests that paid for the new stadium are wanting to pay for the buy out.  Perhaps, Al Swank, the expert on all things Akron, can tell us which rumor is more likely to be accurate.
