@Mike Soltys

This is according to Mike Soltys, who is responsible for strategic planning for publicity for ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, ESPNEWS and ESPNU, and ESPN on ABC.

Adding more of the pageantry and rivalry of college football and basketball in place of the NBA prima donnas and lesser exciting NBA games? YES PLEASE!

Our last 4 games are all on ESPN2/ESPNU. Maybe now some of them will get upgraded from U to the Deuce, or from the Deuce to the Mothership?

The NBA's loss could be MAC football's gain.

Interesting -- would make some sense, as college programming is something ESPN has available in abundance.  Smaller leagues would make the most sense, too, as they have more games available, whereas the Big 6 typically have more limitations in what they can choose.

Can anybody who actually watches the NBA tell me what their typical timeslots are during the week?

I haven't actually watched an NBA game since Bird & Magic, but their website has them mostly on Wednesdays and Fridays.

That was what I thought, which means the college football inventory as far as adding games is probably slim.  Shuffling among networks, perhaps, would still be an option.  Get into basketball season with no NBA and I'd have to guess adding some basketball would be doable.

Typically ESPN has NBA games on Wednesday and Friday. Prime MAC Football spots.

No idea what the source is, but Matt is typically very reliable.

Damnit. One week too late. If we can guarantee a sell out for the black out against Temple, maybe ESPN will help us out too. Doubtful, but would be a nice thought.

Temple @ Ohio 11/2 8pm from ESPN2 to ESPN.
Central Michigan @ Kent State 11/4 from ESPNU at 8pm to ESPN2 at 6pm.
Miami @ Temple 11/9 8pm from ESPN2 to ESPN.

Will update my schedule accordingly in the wee hours when I get home.

I'd like to see more mid major games over the NBA any day of the week.
