Awesome news for both of these guys!  They'll be dinged up, but able to play eventually.

My amateur eyes hadn't realized how important Huynh was to that defensive front up until he went out. Instantly, there was no push up front and there was no need for interior double teams. It was striking.

Yup, Mr. Huynh is having a pretty good, difference-making year.

Great news their injuries weren't as bad as originally suspected! I was getting a bit worried!

Injuries continue to mount.  Hughes out for the year.  We will miss him in the secondary.  Several others banged up.

Hughes and Moore were OUr starting safeties and Hughes might have been playing a tad better than Moore.  Moore needs to stay healthy to add some experience back there but Carpenter and Kristoff and Ingol have all had some decent pt recently...and Carpenter has been a beast.

The D-line is the biggest puzzle to me  with questions like:

Can Meyers stay healthy  the rest of the way?

His being out of the Beefaloes game really hurt.

How much time will King see at DT?

If we can get a nice rotation with King and Hastings and Taylor and others we should be OK.

Will we see Blake Jones in passing situations?

He's short but played some decent DE in high school.

Why haven't we seen Crutcher at DT?

Some of our DT's are light and I just can't see Crutch getting pushed around that much.

We'll know the answer to these questions and will find out if the naysayers are right or wrong on Saturday.

Frank said he was really sick against Buffalo, so it shouldn't be anything that holds him out in the future, but of course, injuries have been an injury for him in the past.

He played a ton Saturday, especially for a guy coming off a knee injury.

Will we see Blake Jones in passing situations?
He was in on nearly every third down as a rush end against Buffalo.

I'm not sure on this one. He had been sick this past week and maybe didn't get to practice much. Maybe they thought he wasn't ready but I'm just guessing on that one.

Thanks UpSan.......sounds like it isn't as much doom and gloom as the Chicken Littles are proclaiming....hopefully the schemes and personnel combinations work.
