3 losses might get you into the championship game

LC i expect the 3,254 different scenarios laid out by Monday morning...

temple 3-2 - ohio , miami, kent
ohio 2-2 - temple, central, bg, miami
bg 2-2 - kent, northern, ohio, buffalo
miami 1-1 loss pending to toledo - buffalo, akron, temple, western, ohio
buffalo 1-3 miami, eastern, akron, bg

temple, ohio, bg, miami all control their own destinty

very possible that everyone has 3 losses if we beat temple and lose to bg

im gonna stop now because this is pointless...

Its going to make for an interesting November to say the least. Surprisingly the Cats won't be completely out of it if they lost to Temple. Very close to being out of it but not quite.

Temps doesn't anymore.  If they and BGSUCKS both win out, BGSUCKS would win the division based on today's game.  Temps needs help, and their problem is that BGSUCKS has both OU and NIU -- the best two teams left on their schedule -- at home.

EDIT:

And now that Fiami has two losses, the same goes for them, since they lost to BGSUCKS too.

The Cats have the best passing offense in the East and the best secondary. That has proven to be the edge against Temple in past seasons. Ohio is ranked 34th in passing yards and 32nd in rushing yards.  Temple is ranked 113th in passing, 9th in Rushing. The Cats can drop down the safeties and blitz. Special teams are going to be a big factor against Temple. The ability of Hershey to kick monster punts and Weller accuracy may make the difference in what should be a close low scoring game. The condition of Bernard Pierce is another factor because if he isn't 100% that really hurts the Owls.

Just thought someone should mention that if OUr team wins out, we'll win the East outright, since that will mean Temps, BGSUCKS and Fiami will each have 3 losses.  Let's just shoot for that scenario and forget the 3,253 others.

The head-to-heads line up sort of like tourney time.

This week, Buffalo @ Fiami in basically an elimination game for the loser.

Next week, Temps @ OU, with the loser just about out.

Nov. 9, Fiami @ Temps, in maybe another elimination game.

Nov. 16, OU @ BGSUCKS.

Nov. 22, Fiami @ OU.

Nov. 25, BGSUCKS @ Buffalo (Buffalo on the day after Thanksgiving????).

The Cats could be playing three MAC East "title games" in the next month.
