I am getting my annual beat down about all the arrests at the Halloween bash and #1 party school ranking.  However, I also have someone telling me that OU has a soccer team suspended due to drinking!  Did I miss something?  Is there a club soccer team for the men, etc.?  Is this possibly true?  I follow this site closely and know the women's soccer team has been playing regularly, but have heard nothing re: this issue.  I'm arguing my A** off telling the other party they don't know what they are talking about!  They claim it was in the Athens paper.  Can anyone shed some light for me before I stick my foot in my mouth further?

Yes, it was the men's club team, but they've been reinstated.

You can tell whomever you are arguing with that not only are we the #1 Party School, but that we are partying smarter than in previous years!

Arrests at Halloween only 50 this year, as compared to 200-300 in the past.

Thanks for the info UpSan!  I didn't know we had a club Men's soccer team.  How many of the 50 arrested were actually OU students?  I keep telling them that it is not sponsored by OU but by the city of Athens.  I'm preaching to deaf ears!

The mens soccer (club sport)was hit by an overreaction to a medical problem of one member of the team.  The press over reacted, the university over reacted and then some calm minds finally got involved.  After investigating the incident the finding was that there were no hazing problems.
