BobcatAttackers,

I wanted to reach out to you guys and let you know about the promotion being run by the OU Sports Administration program and athletics marketing  department for the November 2nd game vs Temple.  As the title implies, the game will be a "blackout" and promoted in a similar way to Green Fever.  There will be a promotional package for sale that includes:
-An official Bobcat Blackout shirt.
- Raffle ticket for an authentic BLACK OU football jersey.
- Chance to be in an on field contest for $10,000
- Food coupons to Pita Pit and Cutlers.
- Free round of golf at the OU course.
- Additional game day promotional items.
- Game day ticket.

Package Pricing:
- $20 Includes all items plus a ticket to the game.
- $15 all items, NO TICKET.
- $10 student discounted price with valid OU ID.

It should be a great game and starting tomorrow we will be heavily promoting to the homecoming crowd.  As I am sure most of you know, this will be OU's first ever game broadcast on ESPN and the team will be wearing "special" jerseys. We are also doing a special fundraising promotional deal for community organizations and schools.  If you know of a group that would have interest, please feel free to send a private message or reach via our contact info at the bottom of the message.  Individual orders can be purchased online or in person at a promotional table listed on the website. Thanks and GO BOBCATS!

This sounds just like the Green Fever campaign for basketball, which has done an excellent job of raising attendance for a midweek game over the last three years.

I saw do whatever you can to make the deals/perks/incentives available only to people who stay into the fourth quarter. A mass exodus at halftime will look like crap on ESPN.

I wish we were offering a free round of gold, but sadly it is only a free round of golf.  All packages purchased will receive the free round.  We will not executing the $10,000 dollar promotion until later in the game as a way to keep students interest.  Thank you for the ideas!!!

Hand out t-shirts before the game, hand out coupon books/everything else after 3rd quarter at the stadium.  Fans should stick around for this one.  Students realize ESPN is a big deal, they stuck around for the Pitt game, and black unis combined with the 110 video success should produce a big crowd.

Just ordered my package but it looks like I will have to wait until the game to get mine.

Is that right?? This doesn't ship???

Is there anyway to mail these if ordered by a certain date????

I think if you mailed another version of the package (maybe just shirts and the raffle for the jersey) there would be even more support from alumni that can't get down to the game since its in the middle of the week......there should be a lot of them tuning in since it's on the ESPN mother ship!!!

We are currently discussing the option of being able to pay an additional fee for the shirts to be shipped to fans who are not attending the game.  An update will be posted ASAP.

ESPN + Black jerseys + blackout crowd = Temple doesn't stand a chance

Should be a great atmosphere.

How about we provide "Welcome Back to the MAC" t-shirts in honor of Temple not going anywhere.

Does anyone know a final tally of the number of black jerseys sold after the Marshall game? Also, for those of us old guys who live far away from Athens and are thus unable to make it back to the Blackout game, when can we expect to see our jerseys show up on our doorsteps?

If I remember correctly they would start to show up after the Temple game, but before the Miami game.

I wanted to let you guys know that the Bobcat Blackout website will be adding a mailing option for shirts.  I know many of you may not be able to make the game since it is a weeknight, but we still want you to have the option to purchase the shirts.  These shirts are not guaranteed to arrive by game day, so only order by mail if you will be unable to pick your shirt up.  The cost will be an additional $5.  If you have any questions feel free to email me at bobcatblackout@gmail.com

This game will be won or lost by Ohio University's db's either they will play like future NFLer's or they will play subpar. We will key on Pierce and shut him down and leave it up to the db's. Carrie and Leftwich are players t, they will have to show it against Temple.
