Watching KSU-CMU game I felt that they have a good pass/running game.  They take care of the ball and have two very good receivers. They run patterns that Temple ran creating problems for our safeties. The tight end and wide receiver have great hands.  QB is above average passing.  Can't run.  KSU did alot of blitzes that caused him some problems.  We will have to outscore them as they will score on our DB's.  Punter and kicker are good, but kicker missed the crucial FG.  I thought that HC made the wrong decision not going to the endzone..  Evidently he does not have faith in QB?

Hopefully we won't have to key on the run so much so our safeties can provide some additional help. And it seems like our corners that aren't Travis Carrie need some serious help as of late.

I think Central Michigan probably will be able to make some plays with its passing game against Ohio, but I also think the Bobcats will have a good chance to get some interceptions. As a whole, I don't really think the Chippewas will be super successful passing. If you look at the numbers, Ohio's passing defense is actually pretty efficient. The Bobcats have the top pass efficiency defense in the MAC. A lot of that has to do with interceptions and a lot of those were early in the year, but the most impressive number to me as that opponents are just over 50 percent passing against Ohio on the year.

Good comments about CMU offense potential.

To counter the Bobcats need to continue to see production from the number 3 in the nation ranked for all purpose yards Donte Harden.  What a weapon to have in green and white or is that black and green?  Having that threat coming out of the backfield in a spread has to be a d coordinator's biggest nightmare perhaps even bigger than containing a stud like BP.

One improvement I'd like to see is an elimination of stupid penalties after the whistle has blown; several in each of the Akron and Temple games gives the opponent extras that may haunt in the next close game.
