Always liked this weekly write up of the MAC by USA Today.  Seems like this guy at least does a little home work:

Once again, Ohio U's Solich, who has forgotten more football than most D-I coaches know, out-coached Temple's staff —leaving potential Temple suitors to wonder why they should invite the Owls into a more high-profile league when they can't win the MAC or even get to its title game.

damn he lays the smack down on Temple. This whole section is worth quoting-

League presidents from Conference USA or the Big East who are eyeing the Owls as a possible addition to their leagues have to be asking themselves "Why add the Owls if they can't beat quality MAC teams?"

Sure, Temple has made major strides on the gridiron, has a tradition-rich men's hoops program and is in the fourth-largest TV market in the country, but this marks the third straight year that Temple has failed to beat an above-.500 MAC team with a lot riding on the game.

Once again, Ohio U's Solich, who has forgotten more football than most D-I coaches know, out-coached Temple's staff —leaving potential Temple suitors to wonder why they should invite the Owls into a more high-profile league when they can't win the MAC or even get to its title game.

I'm not sold on temples' back-up qb Coyer based on the one game.  We so keyed on other things that he had room.  Yes, he's a powerful runner.  But I don't think that running qb's win at current in D1.  And either he's not that good of a passer or I haven't seen enough to be convinced.  When he has to pass, can he get it done?
