Stewart Mandel of SI had a nice paragraph on how the MAC is benefiting from the NBA lockout and our exciting games.  He even reminded folks that there was going to be another week of MACtion to tune into this week.

The two games last week certainly helped because both the NIU-Toledo game and Ohio-Temple game were back and forth exciting games that came down to the last minute. You have to think that a lot of viewers that tuned in watched to the end.

Even the CMU-Kent game was close and came down to the wire, although I doubt there was much interest beyond the two schools.

Wins by NIU and Temps this week would put the Cats in a pretty good position -- give them a little breathing room.

Per what I posted on the Tiebreaker thread an NIU win over BG is a big help, but a Temple win over Miami only helps if Miami also loses to WMU. Otherwise Ohio will still have to beat Miami to be the winner of the East.
