At this juncture in the season the MAC race is basically down to 4 teams. I don't think Temple has the tools to win a MAC Championship nor does BG while both schools are technically in the running. Serious candidates listed only.

One advantage I think Ohio has if they make it to Detroit is some experience with the coaching staff preparing for Ford Field. Ohio is definitely due to win up there if they can make it. I'm not really that impressed with NIU's porous defense. They lost to Central Michigan and squeaked by Buffalo by 1. I'm confident the Cats could win a shootout with NIU as the Ohio D would step up enough at critical moments. Toledo I would be more worried about if they made it as they've had a decent D against a very tough schedule. Still the Cats are due.
