Great start to the game with a halfback pass to Harden for the first TD, but then he breaks an 81 yard TD run later in the the game.  Both of which were part of his 100+ passing and receiving marks in the game.  Combine that with his return yards and you have 322 yards tonight for a new single game record the Cats.  Big ups to Harden on such a well rounded day from him.

Oh by the way on the Postgame show when interviewing Harden he talked with Russ about how Temple visited him in High School and told him that he didn't pass the "eye test".  Ha Ha, I think we are all more than happy that he choose OHIO, especially after his growth in the last year.

How often do you see a 50-yard pass down the sideline to a halfback?

Anyone catch how that play was drawn up? Where did Harden line up? Was hard to see its development from my vantage point near the Ohio end zone.

Stunningly done, and it put us in position for Tettleton-to-Foster for the win.

If I recall, he lined up right behind TT for a play action fake before he ran the route.  Loved that play!

It was the same play, but I think to the other side, as his earlier TD catch. They faked to him, and he just kept going, leaving him covered by a linebacker, a total mis-match.

Saw the replay on the excellent video somebody posted, and Russ called it a wheel route.

Here's another link to Temple, a closer look

You can see the play twice. The first one, at the:56 mark, you can see the entire play.  You see a fake to Harden, then Harden blows by the LB, and makes a catch for an easy TD. The second one, which Russ calls a "wheel route" is at 2:55, but you only see the ball in the air, and the catch. In both cases the linebacker trying to keep up is Temple #33.

Also, in that video you see the calm communication between Foster and TT on the final touchdown. Foster is heading for the corner, and TT motions him to cut back, and he cuts back and comes to the ball. Looks easy in slow motion...hehe - awesome play.

I like another play we ran.  It only got us 2-3 yards.  But it was a good call.  Tettleton goes to the left side and right side of the line, as if calling an audible.  As he starts to settle back to the qb spot, the snap went right to the running back for a run.  Another thing to keep the defense off balance with.
