Anyone know if this is still true?  If it is, no wonder we didn't want to be invited out there last year.

Al, from what others have posted here about the Spud Bowl this wasn't true last year and wouldn't be true this year.  I don't remember the details but they are reported to actually pay the MAC team some kind of travel allowance, which is not true of the other MAC bowls.  The picture that was painted is that it's a better deal for the MAC participant than the other MAC bowls.  However, I saw a posting indicating that the Go Daddy has doubled its payout to $1.5 million, but I don't know what's in the fine print, so it may or may not now be a better deal than the Spud.

According to this, the team payout for all three MAC primary bowls is the same - $750,000.

I posted a link in another thread not long ago to a page that showed $1.5 million payout for GoDaddy.   Some other pages I've seen are still reporting 2008 figures.

This link, which seems up to date considering the countdown to kickoff counter, says "combined payout of $1.5."
