Temple's odds of winning the division were looking much better as the night progressed until the very end. Ohio was pretty fortunate to win, and it is somewhat unique that the Bobcats clinched by beating a team that's only two MAC wins are against Temple and Miami.

Sure they were until MAC Referees got involved. At least we dont have to watch whatever travesty they would have cooked up to help you beat Miami. Better bring em to Detroit if you think Ohio U stays within 3 touchdowns of NIU. Enjoy Motown...

MH55, I'd seriously recommend counseling to deal with all of your issues.  I'm embarrassed for you.  The sad thing is, most of us enjoy your posts so much now. We know your posts will always going to come back to bite you.  I'd say it's time for you to grow up and maybe one day you can have a real conversation with opposing team's fans for once.

You dont think the false start was completely missed ? That wasn't at a crucial point?

I think I have seen 4 Ohio U games and didn't see an offensive holding call from scrimmage in one. Otherwise, I will expect half your OL to advance to the Sunday League. If you had earned the title, I would probably, probably congratulate Ohio U. I still get to relish your 50 year streak of post season losses though...

With the benefit of the replay, I agree the Ohio lineman flinched and it should have been false start, but why did the BG defensive lineman just stand up and touch him?  The Ohio guy obviously didn't flinch enough for the ref's to see it live, why not stay in your crouch and play.  Even if Ohio gets penalized 5 yards there, they can still get a first down.  It's not automatic that BG would have gotten the ball back.

There were plenty of missed calls throughout the season against the Bobcats, the Buffalo game immediately comes to mind.  It's part of it and you've got to deal with it.

Thanks TUVideo Guy!

What's your take on Keller's late hit out of bounds personal foul?

(I know that was directed at MH55 but its been burning me up since last night, so I'll chime in)
Yes, what is your take on the "late hit out of bounds" that was (a) in bounds and (b) more a pat on the ass than a hit? Whine all you want MH, but without that bogus personal foul, BG takes a fieldgoal on that play and the false start/offsides is moot. As for holding, i counted 3 plays JUST IN BG's last drive where their linemen were blatently holding, so lets not hear anything from you about that.

Sorry, I'm back to not feeding the wildlife

We will indeed enjoy Motown, again, just as I am sure you did when...oh, that's right, TU hasn't been to the MACC game or even beat a MAC school with a greater than .500 record.  I keep forgetting...it's just the OWL TALK and not the OWL WALK that makes Temple great. GO BOBCATS!

I'm more concerned with the refs outright giving the ball to the other team in consecutive games even after going to the replay booth.
  • The ridiculous interception that obviously hit the ground against Central Michigan.
  • The fumble that was picked up AFTER the whistle blew last night.  And don't give me crap about the announcers saying that it was the correct call (they also mentioned that BG was 0 for 4 in red zone attempts), as soon as the whistle blows, it doesn't matter what happens or is apparently going to happen.
Thank you, TUVideo Guy.   MH55 can shove it.

Im of a firm belief that bad calls even out in games. I try to remind myself of this when my teams lose close games where there were bad calls down the stretch.

http://www.mac-sports.com/portals/20/MAC/Stats/2011FB/confldrs.htm

Only two MAC teams are more penalized than Ohio. Offensive linemen are responsible for 22 penalties through 10 games, according to Ohio's offensive line stats. I'm sure some of those were false starts or other things, but I'm sure a lot were holding. Ohio has had a few killer illegal block calls. One in the loss to Buffalo comes to mind. I recall a few outsiders come on the board and say Ohio got ripped off in the officiating in that game. According to the play-by-play, the Bobcats were called for holding three times last night. BG was not called for holding once. I don't think your claims can be substantiated.

TUvideoguy and MH55 are the yinyang (or yin and yang) of Temple supporters-you have to take the good with the bad, I guess.

Why do  you all respond to boa-man with anything other than pure contempt?  He's a mo-ron, his team stinks, and his posts are lame.  He's come on here boasting and being purposefully stupid for about three years.  I was tired of his crap after about two days.  Why respond to someone who keeps making no sense at all.

Hey, OC, Owls don't walk. They're a FLY BY NIGHT team!
(Actually, they are a very good team this year, but had to be like a cat and pick on the birdies)
