Here is the latest from Football-Bowl.com

2011-2012 college bowl projections

Ohio playing FIU in Mobile, AL. Here is my tip - anyone who did not go last time to Mobile needs to experience this one. That was an awesome trip and I wish I hadn't cheaped out on it the way my wife and I did getting in late and leaving almost immediately afterwards. The parade, the fans, the hoopla, all of it was awesome and I'd go back in a heartbeat if I had a good babysitter that I could trust for 3 days.

Ditto.  Even better if it didn't rain all weekend.

My umbrella must have been bigger than yours - we played golf two days that weekend and never felt a drop of rain.

It doesn't look like there will be too few teams qualifying after this weekends results.  Not all the MAC teams will get in unless there are 5-6 upsets this coming weekend.

The results depend a lot on the Big East , WAC and to some degree the C-USA to see how many MAC teams get in.

According to the GoDaddy.com Bowl website, Arkansas St.'s already accepted an invitation to the GoDaddy.com Bowl (aren't we playing them in hoops today?).  CBSSports projects them to play Northern Illinois while we're projected to be playing Louisiana Tech In the Idaho Potato Bowl.  I hope that's not accurate!

Arky St. is there because they're the Sun Belt champs and get the automatic bid to GoDaddy.  They have a one-game lead over Western KY, but beat the Hilltoppers earlier in the year so they have the tiebreaker.  Actually, it would be kind of fun if WKY and OU matched up in a bowl.  Both use "Stand Up and Cheer" (at least the tune) as their fight songs.
